November 23. 2004 20:38 Working on a holiday, yes I amOh wow! Today is my sister's birthday! I completely forgot about it until I wrote the date on her letter. Happy birthday Tsubasa-chan! I better make her a nice card since I can't be there to party with her ^_^ (I'll just write this first, then I'll make something... I could do another marker pic ^____^) I did send her a small present with my parents, but I think I forgot to say it was a birthday present ^_^;; I wonder if they gave it to her already? Oh but I can't send the card today, I can't scan it! Damn. I'll just have to send her an e-mail and send the card tomorrow. Or maybe I could take a picture of it and send that? Hmm, maybe that would work... Gotta remember to mention the present, too. I had fish soup today! Hehee ^_^ I got some salmon for dinner and was wondering what I would do with it (wasn't really into frying it) when I realized I had carrot and some of those green onion things, so I decided to make an extempore fish soup! It's so much fun to cook. I haven't made anything in a while, I've been lazy and buying ready-made or just boiling an egg or something. I've been too buzy ;_; The fish soup was a bit thin because I had no potatos, but it was really good anyway ^_^ Today there was no school. It was a public holiday, but we've had school on public holidays before, so I was prepared to go to class. But, there was nobody at school, so I got to draw the NaNoManga for the whole day ^_^ The cafeteria wasn't open either, so I had to go to Reata to eat lunch. Reata is a restaurant that's owned by the same woman who runs the school cafeteria. It's near campus and it has a discount for Kyoto Seika students. Then I stayed at school drawing until they closed the building at 17.30. I wasn't the only one not enjoying the free day, though, there were at least two other people at the studio halls. I finished 3 more pages today and the remaining 2 are roughly sketched, so if I work on them tomorrow during Editing I'll have to start inking ^_^ I'm happy, but I'm a bit scared... I don't have a good touch with inking because I've done so awfully little of it. I might end up ruining the whole manga... But I have to train on something, ne? Better just take in head-on. There was one thing I forgot to write about in my extensive story about shopping yesterday. At the subway station I saw the first christmas decorations of this year ^_^ Wai, happy! I'll at least get the christmas spirit (or hype, whatever, I love it anyway) even if I can't get a real christmas eve ^_^ The decorations in the shops are what best get me into a christmas mood at home, too, so I'm very happy they have all that here as well. I don't care if people say it's commercial, it's what makes me think about my friends and the real spirit of christmas :P (No, sorry, I'm not talking about the religious spirit but about family, wartmh, giving to the people you love, that sort of stuff.) It's a good thing that the Japanese are into "selling christmas" even though the eve itself might be a minor party. (If what I've heard is right... But you never know, maybe the young people have started a christmas movement and are having great big parties O_o) I wonder if I could find some christmassy music somewhere... Christmas is not christmas without carols. The cards are gonna be interesting this year, though ^_^ I thought I'd combine christmas cards and "Hello from Japan", so my friends are gonna get christmas cards with geisha pictures this year (haha). Ravie promised to send me a christmas card, too ^___^ I told them not to send any presents here, because I'd have to send them back home afterwards, but cards are perfect. We'll have a mini-christmas in January when I get back ^_^ (Now I really start feeling like I wanna get back... I wanna see my friends ;_;) Lallallallalla, it's card drawing time! |
