October 04. 2004 22:44 Money! My money arrived today! Yaaay! I was rich, it was sunny, I had slept well and dressed up a little and I was going to meet the Canberra group one last time; I had the perfect morning! Oh, life is so wonderful every now and then ^__^ Of course I had to go and spend cash as soon as I got it ;P I paid my rent for this and the next month, ate well and in the evening, I went shopping. But first, there was the Canberra group leaving. On the way I met Dion and took him with me to loot the leftovers, but he didn't have the patience to stay there until they were ready to show us to the loot. I spent a good deal of the morning there, though, giving them my farewell drawing and getting messages written in my guestbook/memory book, and got a good deal of stuff before I left. This sounds like I'm so greedy... True, I was there for the loot, but only because they're leaving it there to be taken... Anyway, I got another umbrella, a see-through one to replace the one I lost (happy! ^_^) and the thing I really was there to get: a pillow. The pillow I have now is really small, and I'm used to sleeping with two at home. Then I got shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, hairspray, tissues, pins, pain relievers, another towel, a shirt and trousers, some ladies' stuff and leftovers of a pack of protein concertrate, just for the package. They even left books behind, so now I have three books I can read when I get bored. There's Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hearn, which sounds very interesting because the name refers to Nijo castle, Penmarric by Susan Howatch, a romantic novel for when I need some sugar, and Deception Point by Dan Brown, which seems kinda interesting, and as I took the other two I thought I might as well take the third. Then there was the Lonely Planet Japan book, but Big Tom took it, and I have it already in Finland anyway. I just love books, I almost can't understand why they left them behind. After visiting the Canberra group I was supposed to go and see Takada-sensei for some help with translating the course list, so I could find more courses to take. But looting and goodbyes took so long that I had to hurry to get my rent paid and to eat. I thought I'd leave school early and go see him at five, before I going downtown, but I was so absorbed in drawing the colour pencil image we were doing today that I didn't realize the time until it was six. I couldn't even finish it, so I'll have to continue next week. And on top of all, my shopping time was getting very short, because all the stores close at nine (including the book and food stores in Iwakura, which I though I'd get back to after visiting the city). I took off in a hurry, not in the perfect mood for enjoying my money because of the rush, but anyway determined to get the stuff I need to buy. I went to Kyoto Station first to get the Twin Stars calendar I saw there before, but it wasn't there anymore. Damn, now there's no way I can find a cute calendar for the rest of the year... I'll just have to use the no-brands from the 100 yen shop then, I guess, and glue some manga pics on them. I bought a Cinnamoroll (yes, without the n) mobile hanger, though, because I'm just so in love with that cute bunny face ^_^ After the pointless ride to Kyoto Station I had to take the subway again to get to Teramachi shopping street. Kinda fustrating as I couldn't get the thing I wanted, but at least now I know it won't be there. I hurried to the 100 yen shop to get some paper trays so I can organize the mess in my room, and took a notebook too. The rest of my shopping list I couldn't get, but that's okay, I can get them later on. Then I hurried again to the subway 'cause I wanted to buy the fifth Harry Potter from the local book store, just because I really like the store and because I saw a Gothic Lolita magazine there as well and I wanted that. It's the coolest thing ever, full of Gosurori pics and on top of it all, it has a couple of patterns with it! But unfortunately I was so late that I only got to the Kokusaikaikan station when it was already nine. I was sure I had missed the book store, but to my great surprise, it was open past nine. Very happy, even though a big jerky because of all the hurrying, I went and bought the book and the mag. Yay! ^_^ Then I went to a quick visit at the Circle K to get something to drink and an American dog. I would've wanted bananas for breakfast from the Maruzen, but I'll have to settle with eggs. After running around all evening I was very sweaty (it was warm again today), so I had to take a shower, and now I'm feeling nice and refreshed. I think I'll go and get the ice tea from downstairs, clean up my room a bit and drown myself in the Harry Potter world again... Oh yeah, I got my first letter today. Apart from the package, that is, which was by the way sent to the wrong post office, but they'll get it to the local one for tomorrow. And you know what my first letter was? An advertisement for a diet. How flattering is that. Anyway, it's cool to have post coming in, it makes me feel like I belong here. I wonder what kind of dreams the last Potter book will give me? 'Cause I've sure had weird Potter-related dreams lately... Yesterday night I had a dream which included, besides the murder case and the suspicious (though non-Potter) characters everywhere, Bill Weasley seducing a femaly spy clad in Invisibility Clothes. My sub-concious is rather interesting, I have to say O_o |
